STEP 1
Make sure you have a HIVE account. Your account can be an easy to remember name. Save your keys! Get a free one here: https://signup.hive.io/
STEP 2
Download Hive Keychain Wallet and input your keys. This makes logging into any hive-engine Decentralized Application, DAPP, super easy with a couple clicks. You can download a firefox or chrome addon and it’s also availble for mobile. If you use it on mobile, use the built-in browser. Download here: https://hive-keychain.com/
STEP 3
Now you need to get the main currency, HIVE which we’ll turn into Swap.Hive to use to purchase tokens on the hive-engine blockchain. I’ll list a few ways below:
- From Coinbase – Buy USDC on Coinbase.com (no fee). You are going to want a little bit of ETH for gas so pick up a few dollars worth if you haven’t used the coinbase wallet yet. You only need to do this once as you can just get more ETH from the wallet next time you’re low. Now transfer from coinbase.com to your Coinbase Wallet (https://www.coinbase.com/wallet) via Base chain the small amount of ETH and however much of USDC you want (no fee). There is also a mobile app you can use for the wallet. Now swap your USDC to wrapped HIVE using https://aerodrome.finance/ . You will need to input the token contract address below the first time. Once you have HIVE on base, you can then bridge it to hive-engine using https://tribaldex.com/bridge. If you purchased HIVE on Base then you can bridge that in with Tribaldex. It will immediately become swap.hive. The token contract for HIVE on Base/Aerodrome for is here:

- From HIVE – Swap your Hive to Swap.Hive using tribaldex.com deposit function or beeswap. You can now purchase any hive-engine tokens. The link for beeswap to convert is: https://beeswap.dcity.io/convert/
- From Binance/Mexc – Buy HIVE. Transfer your Hive to your HIVE wallet. Then follow instructions “From HIVE.”
- From BSC(Binance Smart Chain) – You can use the DEX Pancakeswap to buy SPS or DEC and bridge into Splinterlands. Then follow directions from “From Coinbase”

Other – You can purchase SPS on base chain and bridge into splinterlands.com. STEP 4
